Hi, I’m Anais, a storyteller, lifelong romantic, and lover of second chances.

Born and raised on the northwest side of Chicago, I grew up in a lively Puerto Rican household where stories were shared around the kitchen table, and love was shown through laughter, food, and fierce devotion. I started writing fanfiction at twelve years old and never stopped chasing the magic of a good story.

In high school, I found my voice through spoken word poetry and became a published poet before I could even drive. I graduated from Lake Forest College in 2010, and today, I wear many hats: wife, mom, risk manager by day, and writer whenever I can sneak in a quiet moment.

I write emotionally rich, character-driven romance that explores love after heartbreak, the beauty of rediscovery, and the strength it takes to trust again. My latest novel, This Time, For Always, is a heartfelt second-chance romance that blends tenderness, humor, and the kind of chemistry that sneaks up on you when you least expect it.

When I’m not writing or wrangling spreadsheets (or my spirited six-year-old), you’ll find me curled up with a book, dreaming up dialogue in the shower, or making my husband laugh until he can’t breathe.
